Hardware

Current hardware direction for PPOE, PPSM, phones, and future receivers.

DYY9 OE is audio-only: Raspberry Pi, USB 7.1 sound card, PagePoint network integration, no installed relay/I2C board, and no installed LPD6803 LEDs.

Raspberry Pi 3B+, PoE powered, 3.5-inch SPI touchscreen, USB-A service port, service Ethernet, DS3231 RTC, and chrony NTP service.

Ulefone Armor X12, Android 13 Go Edition, PagePoint APK, Wi-Fi-only operational path, PPSM NTP, and DYY9 timezone.

Pi 3B+ audio testing validates future receiver-node feasibility; development is currently paused.

DYY9 OE Audio Hardware

USB 7.1 card currently appears as ICUSBAUDIO7D.
PagePoint runtime targets surround71:CARD=ICUSBAUDIO7D,DEV=0.
Accepted channel mapping: LPA=0, LPB=1, LPC=6, LPD=7, LPE=2, LPF=3, LPG=4, LPH=5.
DYY9 install uses LPA front-left, LPB front-right, LPC side-left, and LPD side-right.

XL9535 relay/I2C outputs are legacy only and are not installed on DYY9 OE.
LPD6803 front-panel LEDs are legacy only and are not installed on DYY9 OE.
Default production mode is PAGEPOINT_OUTPUT_MODE=logical and PAGEPOINT_LED_MODE=logical.
Legacy I2C/LED modes require explicit opt-in and must never become the DYY9 default again.
Audio timing must never wait for absent relay or LED hardware.

Pi 3B+ with high-endurance 64 GB microSD.
3.5-inch SPI resistive touchscreen using ILI9486 display and XPT2046/ADS7846 touch path.
PoE through a low-profile Pi 3B+ PoE-header module or external 802.3af/at splitter.
Panel-mount USB-A service port and service Ethernet connection.
DS3231 RTC wired through GPIO SDA 21 and GPIO SCL 20.
Cooling required for enclosed installs.
Optional USB LTE/IoT modem remains a future path, not required for DYY9 timekeeping.

The Pi 3B+ 4-pin PoE header is not a plain 5V input; use a proper PoE PD/DC-DC module.
A full PoE HAT conflicts with the preferred touchscreen HAT approach and is not the default PPSM power path.
External 802.3af/at PoE splitter testing showed stable PPSM power with no throttling reported by vcgencmd get_throttled.
The PPSM SPI touchscreen framebuffer can appear as either /dev/fb0 or /dev/fb1 after boot. The touchscreen service runs a preflight detector for the fb_ili9486 device and generates the Xorg framebuffer config before launching Chromium kiosk mode.
OE enclosure torture testing logs temperature, CPU load, ARM clock, and throttle flags once per second; active soft-temp bit 0x8 is expected frequency management, not a stop condition.
