How PagePoint proves release behavior before installation.

Testing Philosophy

Measure the fault being fixed and preserve the blast radius. Do not modify buffering, routing, UI, diagnostics, and priorities in the same pass unless the evidence proves the same root cause.

For DYY9 audio, correct and fast operation outranks perfect diagnostic counters. A brief occasional click/pop is acceptable; a live page that fails to open or opens late is not.

Operational Scale Testing

4, 8, 16, and 32 zone simulations are used to identify architecture stress before user experience degrades, not to find crash limits.

Audio Standard Testing

PagePoint Audio Standard V1 requires 16 kHz, 16-bit, mono Linear PCM WAV.
The PPSM validator reports filename, encoding, sample rate, bit depth, channels, duration, file size, pass/fail, and abnormalities.
Approved operational files are Msg1_EN.wav through Msg6_EN.wav plus LP_A.wav, LP_B.wav, LP_C.wav, LP_D.wav, and LP_ALL.wav.
New chimes must be validated before integration and should use message_chime.wav and page_chime.wav.

DYY9 Stored-Message Validation

Sequence path	Sequence-generated messages still use shared stored-message path; first sequence message entered playback path without adding the manual command delay.

DYY9 Live-Page Validation

Scenario	Expected / accepted behavior
Same-zone takeover	Live page interrupts stored/sequence audio on the same zone immediately.
Cross-zone isolation	Stored messages on unrelated zones continue through a zone live page.
All Call live page	All stored messages and sequences stop globally; All Call live mic takes priority.
First-tap live page	First activation must produce route-open, sender-lock, and first microphone frame without requiring a second tap.
Repeated start/stop	Live PCM queues clear on stop; no delayed microphone audio plays afterward.

Networking / Phone Testing

Android auto-reconnect was reproduced and investigated using ADB evidence before changes.
Phone provisioning now validates PagePoint Wi-Fi, PagePoint NTP, and DYY9 timezone.
Fourth-phone test confirmed provisioning can correct an intentionally wrong time/date and disabled NTP state.

Hardware / Thermal Testing

OE enclosure torture testing runs CPU load above 95%, logs temperature/CPU/ARM clock/throttle flags once per second, updates display every five seconds, and stops for 80 C, active undervoltage, hard thermal throttle, instability, or SSH loss.
Active soft-temp bit 0x8 is treated as expected frequency management, logged but not a stop condition.
