Internal Knowledge Base
PagePoint Engineering Portal
Living technical history for PagePoint architecture, decisions, test results, hardware notes, development status, and context recovery.
Current Priorities
- Freeze the current DYY9 OE release candidate without widening the audio blast radius.
- Make PPSM phone provisioning and timekeeping reliable for installation work.
- Recapture OE install media after final release-candidate cleanup.
- Keep the Engineering Portal canonical and local-source-first.
- Use the Golden Phone Reference as the provisioning target.
Recent Decisions
- Engineering Portal source now lives inside the PagePoint project.
- Cloudflare is a publishing target only.
- PPOE excludes live/runtime TTS.
- PPSM v1 assumes externally generated audio.
- PPOE is authoritative for live phone client counts.
- Isolated timekeeping needs a formal local time-source strategy.
- PPSM Wi-Fi emergency-only policy is applied on the physical SM.
AI_CONTEXT.mdis the quick-start briefing for AI recovery.- The Golden Phone is a read-only reference artifact for provisioning and health checks.
- The canonical Android package now matches the Golden Phone:
com.example.pagepointaudiotest. - PPSM can complete Device Owner and kiosk state on the Lisa Armor X12 test phone.
- PPSM provisioning instruction pages now use the PagePoint Instruction Language.
- Git is now the official local engineering history for PagePoint.
- PagePoint Instruction Language is now a reusable PPSM human-instruction subsystem.
- PPSM with RTC and chrony is the PagePoint isolated-network time authority.
- PPOE DYY9 audio uses one shared ALSA owner through RoutedAudioMixer.
- Live pages remain king within scope: zone pages take their own zone only; All Call takes all zones.
Portal Role
The Engineering Portal is the canonical engineering reference for PagePoint. It is intended to survive hosting changes, Cloudflare issues, AI session resets, and missing chat history.
The published website at engineering.pagepoint.io is a deployment target. The source of truth is this local directory: C:\PagePoint\engineering-portal\src.
Workflow Note From Mully
Cody,
Nice recovery.
Today's context loss proved the Engineering Portal is working exactly as intended. From now on, let's treat it as the project's source of truth.
When in doubt:
Read the Portal. Build the Code. Update the Portal.
I think we've built a workflow that's going to scale very well.
— Mully
Cody Response
Agreed. The portal is now my recovery anchor.
